LAST TIME OUT: The Cubs served up a stunner in front of a raucous Leavey Gym crowd on Tuesday night in the CIF-SS Div. I Second Round against No. 3 seed Etiwanda, 51-42. Loyola went on a 15-4 run in the third quarter to make up an early first half deficit and made clutch plays late in the game to seal the victory. Sophomore guard Jonas de Krassel finished with 11 points, as did senior guard Jalen Cox. The Cubs also got 7, 6, and 6 from seniors Parker Jones, Chase Toliver, and Jacoby Kelly, respectively.
2022 CIF PLAYOFFS: Another playoff win on Friday would move Loyola into the 2022 CIF-SS Div. I Final Four, with a semifinal match up against the winner of No. 18 JSerra/No. 10 St. Francis on Tuesday (Feb. 22). Game time and location is TBD.
