SEASON OPENING DUBS  - For  Loyola Baseball it all started with a go-ahead 2-run triple in the fifth by junior C Luca Marucci '26 which gave the Cubs their opening day win at Hank Hernandez Field to begin their 2025 campaign. Back at home, the Cubs followed up with a solo shot from junior SS Jack Murray '26 in the 3rd, a 2RBI single from C Luca Marucci '26 in the 5th, and the save from senior RHP Robbie Peppell '25 in their game against Gahr on Feb. 25 with a final score of 3-0. On the road, the Cubs got another big early season win at No.14 ranked Cypress 8-3. Then slamming the door shut, Loyola topped it off with a big team effort in a shutout at Hernandez, beating Crossroads 14-0. 

The Cubs are now 4-1 in the 2025 season and look to keep this streak going!
