DOWN GOES NO. 2! Loyola Soccer is headed to the Final Four! No. 7 seed Loyola takes down No. 2 seed Mater Dei in penalty kicks (6-5) on the road to advance to the CIF-SS Open Division semifinals!
Just like he has all season, senior goalkeeper Chris Stillwell '25 came up huge Saturday night (2/15) with a save on Mater Dei's 6th penalty try, setting up our eventual game-winning PK that sent us to the Open Division semifinals!

The Cubs take on Hart High at Loyola for the first matchup of CIF-SS Open Division Semifinals on Wednesday, February 19 at 5 PM at Loyola and Saturday, February 15 at 5 PM at Hart. NOTE: Both games will be played, rain or shine. See below for more game day and playoff info and come out to support the Cubs!

CIF-SS OPEN DIVISION FORMAT:
The Open Division teams will compete in a "Champions League" style format for the 2024-2025 playoffs. Home and away format (same opponent two games in a row). The cumulative score from both games is used to determine the winner who will advance. First game may end in a tie (no overtime). If cumulative score is tied at the end of the second game, traditional Southern Section tie breaker of overtime and penalty kicks will be applied to determine a winner.
