Loyola Volleyball has claimed the top spot in MaxPreps' latest Boys HS Volleyball Poll, earning their first No. 1 national ranking of the season.

A perennial powerhouse in the sport, Loyola has a pair of National Championships (2009 - ESPN; 2017 - MaxPreps/VolleyballMag) under head coach Michael Boehle '84, who is in his 24th year at the helm this season. Loyola is also home to a CIF record 12 Division I championships, in addition to four CIF State Regional crowns.
This season, the Cubs are the top-ranked team in the CIF Southern Section at 17-2 overall, sporting a 10-match winning streak and nine consecutive sweeps in that span. They will conclude the regular season with a pair of home matches, hosting Crespi (Apr. 5) in the Mission League finale and Orange County foe Servite (Apr. 9) before the start of the CIF Division I Playoffs in late April.
