Loyola’s JV Tennis team wrapped up its 2019 season last Thursday, ending things on a high note with a commanding 17-1 victory over St. Francis at Cheviot Hills Tennis Center.
The Cubs and head coach Kelly Farland completed this year’s 10-match schedule with a 7-3 overall record, going 3-2 against Mission League opponents. Loyola dominated in those three league victories, with scorelines of 16-2 and 17-1 against St. Francis and a clean 18-0 sweep of Chaminade.
This year, the roster was comprised of seven sophomores (Kyle Beerbower, Victor Carolino, Luke Geary, Kevin Lavelle, Jack Meyer, Luke Turrill and Jack Wright) and five freshmen (Paxton Drinkwater, Lachlan Flynn, Pasha Jandaghi, Max Saxon and Mateo Wu).
