Loyola’s Junior Varsity Swim team completed its 2019 season in mid-April, sporting a perfect 6-0 record in dual meet action.
The AquaCubs dominated opponents all season long and recorded four victories by 100 or more points. The most points Loyola allowed (30) came in a dual meet on Mar. 28 against Crespi on the road in Encino. Still, Loyola swept the Celts 124-30 to go along with dual meet wins against Chaminade (Feb. 21; 127-6) and St. Francis (Apr. 4; 127-27) at home and victories over Alemany (Feb. 28; 130-18), Notre Dame (Mar. 14; 125-16) and Harvard-Westlake (Mar. 19; 122-25) all on the road. In total, the Loyola Swim program has not lost a dual meet since 2006, with the Varsity team most recently claiming the CIF-SS Division I Championship in early May.
