For 12 consecutive years, the Mission League trophy has belonged to Loyola’s Varsity Swim team. Other teams across the league made Loyola work for No. 13, but head coach Kevin Mann and the AquaCubs got the job done yesterday (Apr. 16) at Rose Bowl Aquatics Center in Pasadena, capping an undefeated regular season with the school's 32nd league title all-time.
The Cubs swept all three relays at the meet, including the 200 free and 400 free. The senior-heavy relay was led by Mark McCrary '19, Emmett Pernecky '19, Connor Lee '19 and lone junior, Nolan Wang '20.
Up next for Loyola is the CIF Division I Prelims on Thursday (May 2) at 9:00 a.m. in Riverside at Riverside City College.
