Loyola Water Polo sets up for a big weekend of competition in NorCal, with the Cubs (10-5) heading to the 2022 North/South Challenge in Atherton, CA. Loyola last won the prestigious event back in 2019, defeating rival Harvard-Westlake in the finals. The Cubs take the No. 7 seed into this year’s tournament.
Loyola will open up on Friday (Oct. 14) against No. 10 seed Miramonte at 2:50PM at Sacred Heart Prep in Atherton. Should the Cubs win, they advance to face the winner of No. 2 Mater Dei/No. 10 Jesuit at 7:30PM later that night. A loss to Miramonte moves Loyola into the 6:50PM game at Gunn HS in Palo Alto. More information about the tournament can be found on the North/South website here: https://northsouth.shschools.org/
*Prior to the start of the North/South Tournament, Loyola takes a pit stop in Moraga to face host Campolindo on Thursday (Oct. 13) at 6:15PM.
