Loyola Basketball travels to the San Fernando Valley for its first meeting with new Mission League member Sierra Canyon this Wednesday (Jan. 11). The triple-header in Chatsworth begins with the Frosh game at 4PM, JV at 5:30PM, and Varsity at 7:30PM.

TICKETS: Sierra Canyon has limited the amount of tickets given to Loyola for Wednesday’s game and those tickets have already been distributed to Loyola Basketball families only. Unfortunately, no tickets will be sold on site to Loyola fans or students for any of the games.

PREVIEW: No night in the Mission League is easy, and its Loyola who will face the toughest opening stretch of the eight teams in the conference. The Cubs have been tasked with three consecutive matchups against nationally-ranked CIF Open Division contenders and Top 10-rated foes Notre Dame (ranked No. 8), Sierra Canyon (No. 3), and Harvard-Westlake (No. 1).
Last Friday, Loyola hosted its first home games of the season at Leavey Gym against Sherman Oaks Notre Dame, with Varsity dropping a 66-44 decision and JV 84-47. The Frosh team emerged victorious with a 54-52 win in overtime to move to 18-2 on the season.
HOME SCHEDULE/UP NEXT: Three home games remain on the 2023 schedule, with one approaching this Friday (Jan. 13) against Harvard-Westlake. Gameday, livestream, and ticket information will be made available on Thursday morning (Jan. 12).
The other home games are vs Crespi (Fri, Jan. 20) and vs Calabasas (Sat, Jan. 21). All Friday games are set for 4PM/5:30PM/7PM, while the lone Saturday contest is scheduled for 11AM/12:30PM/2PM. Those games will be triple-headers as fans can stay to watch Frosh, JV, and Varsity compete back-to-back-to-back.
