Loyola Basketball sets up for an early season road rivalry test this Wednesday (Nov. 23) against Mira Costa in the South Bay.

ON CAMPUS: Loyola fans will sit on the south side of the gym, with parents behind either the home bench or the scorers table. Loyola students can sit behind the Loyola bench.
LIVESTREAM: As of Nov. 22, only streams for the JV and Varsity games have been made available by Mira Costa. There is a slim chance that the final minutes of the Freshman game will be shown on the JV broadcast. (In some cases, NFHS Network cameras will turn on 30 minutes before gametime. PREVIEW: Varsity is coming off a solid showing to open the 2022-23 season at the Paul Sutton Classic hosted by Providence HS in Burbank. That tournament saw the Cubs go 2-2, with wins over Knight (67-46) and Saugus (56-48) and losses to Oak Park (42-54) and Bakersfield Centennial (70-71).
JV and Frosh are both 4-0 to begin their seasons, with dominating wins at the California/El Rancho HS Tourneys. Varsity is led by second-year head coach Damaine Powell, JV by second-year HC Bobby Fortin '14, and Frosh by first-year HC Jesse Scott. Loyola will play its home games on campus inside Leavey Gymnasium, with the first set for Friday, Jan. 6th, against Notre Dame to kick off Mission League play.
UP NEXT: The Cubs will enjoy the Thanksgiving break before returning to game action on Friday, Nov. 25 (Varsity at Villa Park) and Monday, Nov. 28 (JV vs Fairmont Prep and Frosh at Esperanza).
