PREVIEW: The Cubs opened up the second half of the season with a road victory over St. Paul, 24-14, in Santa Fe Springs. It was the first Angelus League game for both Loyola and St. Paul. Crespi is on the hunt for its first win of 2022, currently sitting at 0-6. Offense has been hard to come by so far this season for the Celts, whose season high in points is just 14 (at Venice and vs Cathedral). Last year, Loyola defeated Crespi 45-20 in Encino.
HOME SCHEDULE: After a challenging early season schedule with four of its first six games played on the road, Loyola will finally settle down for home games in three of the next four weeks: Oct. 7 (vs Crespi), Oct. 21 (vs Cathedral), and Oct. 28 (vs St. Francis - Senior Night). The lone away game is at Antelope Valley College against Paraclete next weekend (Oct. 14).
