Loyola Varsity Football returns home after a two-week hiatus, hosting LA Times’ No. 7-ranked Chaminade on Friday evening (Sept. 16). The Week 4 game at Smith Field is also Loyola’s “Take Your Little Brother to the Game” night in which all members of the freshman Class of 2026 are invited to attend pregame activities and dinner with senior Big Brothers before cheering on the Varsity team in the Student Section.

PARKING: Parking is available in the Dewey Lot (1499 Dewey Avenue, Los Angeles, CA). Loyola Security will direct any overflow to adjacent and secure parking lots surrounding campus. Handicap parking is available (please inform Security upon arrival). Gates will open at 5:30PM.
ENTRANCE: Fans must enter campus via the Dewey Lot. Seating is at a first come, first served basis on Smith Field. Students will have a dedicated Student Section on the west end of the field in front of Ruppert Hall.
ON-CAMPUS: Cub Corner, Loyola's official merchandise store, will be open on Friday night. Concessions from Zlicious Eatz will also be available for purchase.
EVENTS: Friday night (Sept. 16) also marks the return of “Take Your Little Brother to the Game” hosted by Loyola Campus Ministry. The event—which includes on-campus movies, lawn games, and pool time, and dinner—is designed to unite the members of the Class of 2026 with their senior Big Brothers. An Annual Pass will cover all three seasons of athletic competition (for all three levels: Varsity, JV/Soph, Frosh) hosted on Loyola’s Smith Field, Leavey Gymnasium, and Hernandez Field: fall (football), winter (basketball, soccer), spring (lacrosse, baseball, volleyball).

PREVIEW: The Cubs could not follow up their 24-19 win at Culver City in Week 3, falling 14-15 on the road at Pasadena last Friday (Sept. 9). Chaminade, which is currently No. 7 on the latest LA Times HS Football rankings, is undefeated at 4-0 and coming off a 59-7 win over Crespi last Friday.
HOME SCHEDULE: Tonight is the second of five home games this season for Varsity Football. The final three home games are set for Oct. 7 (vs Crespi), Oct. 21 (vs Cathedral), and Oct. 28 (vs St. Francis - Senior Night).
