PARKING/ENTRANCE: The field is located on the west side of campus on Harter Street. The visitor parking lot is located off Huron. Loyola will occupy the school side stands (East). The most convenient location for parking and entrance is through the visitor side of the field. The band, cheerleaders, and fans should enter through the double gates located on that side of the field.
NOTE: There is a 1-HOUR PARKING LIMIT ON THE WEST SIDE OF HARTER. BE AWARE THAT TICKETS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY CCPD. Because this is a residential area, Loyola fans are encouraged to enter from the Huron gate and park on the black top playground adjacent to the gym when at all possible.
LIVESTREAM: No livestream has been made available by the host school.
PREVIEW: Loyola (0-1) will look to find its rhythm and first win of the season on the road after falling 34-7 to Damien last Friday (Aug. 26). Culver City is 1-0 after a 35-13 victory over West (Torrance).
THE SERIES: The Cubs and Centaurs will meet almost exactly one year removed from last season’s meeting in which the Cubs ran away with a 62-21 victory at Smith Field. The 62 points tied a school record for most points in a single game, which was originally set in 1924 when Loyola defeated Pacific Military Academy, 62-0. The 2021 team was just the fourth in school history to hit the 60-point plateau.
HOME SCHEDULE: After Friday’s meeting at Culver City, Loyola remains on the road at Pasadena for Game No. 3 (Sept. 9) before returning home on Sept. 16 against Chaminade. The final three home games are set for Oct. 7 (vs Crespi), Oct. 21 (vs Cathedral), and Oct. 28 (vs St. Francis - Senior Night). All home games will be livestreamed via the NFHS Network.
