The most convenient location for parking and entrance is through the visitor side of the field. The band, cheerleaders, and fans should enter through the double gates located on that side of the field.
NOTE: Parking is an issue with local neighbors. There is a 1-HOUR PARKING LIMIT ON THE WEST SIDE OF HARTER. BE AWARE THAT TICKETS HAVE BEEN ISSUED BY CCPD. Because this is a residential area, Loyola fans are encouraged to enter from the Huron gate and park on the black top playground adjacent to the gym when at all possible.
LIVESTREAM: Unfortunately, no livestream has been made available by the host school.
PREVIEW: Loyola is making its second consecutive CIF Southern Section Playoff Quarterfinal appearance and third in the last four years under head coach Drew Casani ’91. The No. 4 seeded Cubs will also travel to the No. 12 seed Culver City for the second time this season. Back on September 2nd, Loyola earned its first victory of the 2022 campaign by a score of 24-19 over the Centaurs. Now, the two teams meet up in the CIF-SS Div. VI bracket and will battle for a spot in next Friday’s CIF Semifinal (Nov. 18).
LAST TIME OUT: Loyola outlasted No. 13 seed Lawndale, 13-7, in a CIF First Round matchup last Friday (Nov. 4) on a chilly night at Smith Field. Junior P/K Mark Hyan ’24 was responsible for 7 of Loyola’s points (2 FGs + PAT), while the other 6 came from a rushing TD courtesy of sophomore RB Desi Valdes ’25. An interception in the endzone with 2 minutes left in the game by senior DB Jordan Hewitt ’23 sealed the victory for the Cubs, who secured the second round road game at Culver City via CIF coin flip procedures.
