Senior Night 2021
Smith Field will finally be buzzing once again as Loyola’s Varsity Football team (7-2 overall) makes its return to home turf this Friday night (Oct. 29) after four consecutive games on the road. The regular season finale will have the Cubs hosting St. Paul at 7PM, followed by a postgame Senior Night ceremony honoring Loyola’s Class of 2022 seniors.
The Cubs currently sit atop the Angelus League standings with a 2-0 record after last Friday’s 6-3 victory at St. Francis and a 44-20 win at Crespi the previous week. A win this Friday against the Swordsmen would secure the league title outright for the Cubs and mark the second consecutive undefeated season in Angelus League play. CIF Playoff seedings will then be released on Sunday (Oct. 31).
Senior Night: Cub fans are encouraged to wear their Loyola navy blue to the game and stay for the postgame celebration honoring the Class of 2022. The ceremony will take place immediately after the game, as all 27 seniors will be recognized alongside parents/family members. Senior Night programs will also be available for guests at the game.
