Loyola Golf came away with another Mission League Match victory yesterday (Apr. 27) at Lakeside GC in Burbank. With a team score of 375, the Cubs finished 14 strokes clear of second-place Chaminade (389) and Harvard-Westlake (389).
Senior Justin Lee ’21 led Loyola at 1-over (71) to place third, followed by junior Aaron Park in fourth at +2 (72). Fellow juniors Sebastian Basa (T-7th; 76), Charlie O’Donnell (T-8th; 77) and freshman William Redmon (T-9th; 79) rounded out Top 10 performances on Tuesday afternoon.
In Loyola’s first Mission League Match of the year back on March 24th at Brookside GC in Pasadena, the Cubs’ team score of 384 was 22 strokes better than runner-up Chaminade. Senior Timmy Von der Ahe finished atop the leaderboard at par in that match, while Lee went +2 (74) to tie for second and O’Donnell tied for fourth at +4 (76). The Cubs will make their return to Brookside for the third Mission League Match of the year next Tuesday, May 4th.
