Senior sprinter Andrew Arth '19 continued his hot streak of late, breaking the 20-year-old school record in the 400m earlier this afternoon (Apr. 9) during Loyola's dual meet against Harvard-Westlake at Smith Field.
Arth, who ran the 400 leg of Loyola's Arcadia Invitational-winning distance medley relay over the weekend, put up a blazing 47.54 to crush the previous 400m mark of 48.19 set in 2000 by former CIF Team Champion Rodney Diggs '00.
He and the Cubs competed against the Wolverines in the final home dual meet of the season before Mission League Prelims, which are slated to begin next Monday (Apr. 15) at Notre Dame HS in Sherman Oaks.
