Loyola Track & Field showed up and showed out at the prestigious Arcadia Invitational this weekend (Apr. 5-6) at Arcadia HS, with two teams posting California-bests and country-leading times in their respective relays.
The Cubs kicked things off in grand fashion with the 4x800m relay as the quartet of Konnor Paris '19, Bobby Ruelas '19, Anthony Stone '20 and Mason Ratkovich '19 ran 7:48.13 to win with the fastest time in California and the second-fastest time posted in the entire nation.

Not to be outdone, it was the Distance Medley relay team comprised of Ratkovich ’19 (1200m), Andrew Arth ’19 (400m), Paris ’19 (800m) and Stone ’20 (1600m) that recorded the new No. 1 DMR time in the country at 10:12.05.

Additionally, Loyola’s 4x100m relay team made up of sophomore Ceyair Wright ’21, Arth ’19, and seniors Christian Sides ’19 and Jeremy Davis ’19 finished fourth in the Open section with a time of 42.73, just .01 out of third.
Individually, Arth ’19 ran a personal best in the individual 400m dash with a time of 48.29, winning his heat and finishing with the fastest time of the day. In the pole vault, senior Will O’Brien ’19 finished fourth overall after clearing 15-07 to close the event.
